Description

The cave beneath Pinhole Falls hosts many of these octopoid creatures. Miasma have a fearsome reputation, as they are large and can tear through armor very quickly at close range. In fact, few troops can survive even a single melee attack, so we advise staying at medium or greater range.

Delay the advance of a Miasma by shooting it; this causes the creature to tightly bundle itself. It is vulnerable to injury for a short time, but it also cannot move or attack in this posture. Back away and prepare another attack.

The more damage per shot you can unleash against a Miasma the better. Rockets, grenades, shotgun shells, rifle shots, and other high-damage attacks are ideal. Avoid pistols, machineguns, and their like.
